The Earl ‘Helge’ Byleen Road Race

10,000 Meter 5,000 meter and One-Mile Fun Run
Stromsburg’s Swedish Festival (June 14-16) will sponsor a 10K (6.2miles) Race and 5K (3.1 miles) Race. Also available is a One-Mile Fun Run. The course is a level one and is entirely on pavement, beginning at the Fire Station, Fifth and Commercial Streets, one block north of the northeast corner of the town square, ending at the same place. Entry fee of $15.00 if received by June 5, 2013. The entry is non-refundable. Late registration, from June 6th to the starting gun, is $20.00. THE RACE YOU REGISTER FOR CANNOT BE CHANGED THE DAY OF THE RACE.
All pre-registered entrants will receive a T-Shirt featuring an original design by local artist Tim Alvis. Any entries received after the 5th will receive a T-Shirt if available.
A first and second place medal will be awarded to both men and women, 10k and 5k, in each of these categories: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Also, the first place over-all winners, men and women, will each receive a trophy. There will be medals for first and second place for the One-Mile Fun Run in these categories for each boys and girls: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16 & 0ver.
NOTE: 5K & 10k WILL START 8:00. ONE MILE RACE WILL START AT 8:05
Breakfast Pizza will be available after the race along with other refreshments. Also, many prizes are planned to be given away at a random drawing following the race. You must be present to win.
Check-in time on Saturday, June 15th is from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m.
